SUICIDE...

WHY SO SHOCKED?
The pic is funny and cute that is why i choose it, the subject however is not. People always say i was so shocked to hear such and such committed suicide. Why it happens everyday? It is almost as prevalent as murder in this country and even moreso than murder in others. Could people be so disgusted with the world, their lives and even themselves that the find no solace in life. Well i believe they can and do at quite an astonishing rate. "There's always a better way" people say, but nothing ever really changes. The world still projects hate toward those they find different, people still starve to death in the richest country in the world. People still take advantage of those weaker than them. A young girl being molested or raped is still afraid to come forward and tell because society refuses to openly discuss such issues (i say girl but it could just as likely be a boy). We live in a world were we keep everything we don't want to see hidden in some closet far away and then we trivialize it's affect until it slaps us in the face personally and then we don't know how to handle it. Why because critical thinking is not taught, what will not be tolerated any longer is not defined and stood up for, no one any longer believes they can make a difference so noone tries. The amount of wars we start and participate in say's human beings are aggressive, I guess what we really gave up on is humanity itself. Most importantly we allow legal murder of babies but make it criminal to ease the suffering of an old person who no longer has quality of life. Saying such as god decides when you die, that same god who would want rose pearl to live her last two years in misery and hell doesn't mind at all if mary kate takes baby june to the abortion clinic never to have life at all. hmmm i am thinking this is warped perception of god and perhaps life in general. Theese same people who fight against abortion so hard, are the same people who disagree with teaching safe sex practises at a fundamental level indeed how does that make sense. erronous views in the masses has become societies problem yet they are too focused on trivialized bullshit to even see the paradoxes which they encourage in our society and that is what our children learn. So in a world that has such confusing messages, how can someones early exit from this mess ever shock you. It should sadden and motivate you to make changes, but i myself find nothing shocking in it. Before you say it i am not advocating suicide i am advocating taking a real hard look at the reality of life on earth. Stop hiding the pink elephant in the closet, make a difference.
